Here is our weekly travel update to help you get around London this weekend, 9-10 December, and also the following week. Most of the network will be open with services running as normal, but please check if any of the following affect you. London Underground Metropolitan line On Sunday there will be no service between Aldgate and Wembley Park on the Metropolitan line before 09:30 and after 20:30. The Lord Mayor’s Show and Remembrance Sunday From 07:00 until 19:00 on Saturday, there will be extensive road closures in the City and central London for the Lord Mayor’s Show. Blackfriars and Waterloo bridges will be closed at various times. A number of Tube stations will be busier than usual, and busses in the City and Westminster will be diverted or stop short of their normal destination. On Sunday, some roads in Westminster will be closed to traffic from just after midnight until 17:30 for Remembrance Sunday. From midnight on Saturday until 18:00 on Sunday, buses will be diverted and will not serve the Whitehall and Trafalgar Square areas. Various parades are taking place across London. Embankment, St. James’s Park, Green Park and Victoria Tube stations are likely to be busier than usual. Metropolitan line There will be no service between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Uxbridge. This is to allow us to renew a set of points at Rayners Lane. London Overground Until 22 October, there will be no service between Gospel Oak and Barking. This is while Network Rail continue major works to enable new, longer trains to run from spring 2018.
