Here is our weekly travel update to help you get around London this weekend, 10-11 June, and also the following week. There is no work affecting the Tube. Most of the network will be open with services running as normal, but please check if any of the following affect you.

London Overground

Tonight, Thursday, there will be no service between Hackney Downs and Chingford after 22:30, for Network Rail track work.

All weekend there will be no service between the following stations:
• Edmonton Green and Cheshunt due to Network Rail infrastructure work
• Hackney Downs and Chingford due to Network Rail track work
• Willesden Junction and Shepherd’s Bush due to Network Rail infrastructure work

On Sunday there will be no service between the following stations:
• Gospel Oak and Barking for Network Rail major works to enable new, longer trains to run between Gospel Oak and Barking from 2018
• Gospel Oak and Stratford after 22:00 due to Network Rail track work

Buses
Bus users may be affected by the following this weekend. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed or stop short of their normal destination:

Central London – Until 17:00 tomorrow, Friday, there are lane restrictions on Gloucester Place at the junction of Dorset Square. This is for utility works.

City of London – Road closures will be in place from 06:00 on Saturday until 02:00 on Sunday. This is for a sporting event. For full details of road closures, please visit tfl.gov.uk/womens-tour-travel

Central London – From 08:00 on Saturday, there will be closures of Constitution Hill, The Mall, Birdcage Walk, Spur Road, and Marlborough Road. There will also be short closures at times throughout the day on Buckingham Palace Road northbound at the junction of Bressenden Place, Buckingham Gate, and Palace Street. This is for an event.

Wembley – From 12:30 on Saturday until the end of the day, roads around the stadium will be busier than usual, including A406, Harrow Road and Wembley High Road. This is due to an event.

Finsbury Park – Between 21:30 and 23:00 on Saturday and 21:00 and 22:30 on Sunday, Stroud Green Road will be closed between Tollington Park and Seven Sisters Road. There will also be delays to traffic in the area. This is for an event.

Central London – On Sunday, extensive road closures will be in place from 03:00 until 21:00 for a sporting event. For full details of road closures, including affected bus routes, please visit tfl.gov.uk/womens-tour-travel

Central London – Next week, the following roads will be closed: Horse Guards Road between 11:30 and 18:00 on Monday, 14:00 and 23:15 on Tuesday, 14:00 and 23:00 on Wednesday and Thursday; Birdcage Walk between 15:00 and 17:15, and 19:30 and 22:00 on Tuesday; all roads in St James’s Park including Constitution Hill, The Mall, and Birdcage Walk between 17:00 and 23:30 on Wednesday and Thursday. This is for a ceremonial event.

Roads

London Travel Update for Weekend Underground, Rail, Bus and Road Users

This weekly London travel update will help you get around London this weekend, 18-19 March. With only one London Underground line affected by planned works, most of the network will be open with services running as normal. Please check if any of the following affect you:

London Underground:

Northern line

There will be no service between Archway and High Barnet/Mill Hill East from approximately 01:25 on Saturday and all day on Sunday. This is to allow for track improvement work at Highgate and High Barnet.

London Overground:

All weekend there will be no service between Romford and Upminster, due to Crossrail construction work and Network Rail infrastructure work.

On Sunday there will be no service between the following stations:
• Camden Road and Stratford due to bridge replacement work at Highbury Corner and Network Rail station work at Hackney Wick
• Wandsworth Road and Clapham Junction until 11:45, due to Network Rail track work

DLR:

There will be no service between Bow Church and Stratford all weekend. This is for Crossrail construction work at Pudding Mill Lane.

TfL Rail:

All weekend, trains will not run on the entire line. This is while Network Rail carry out track and station improvements as part of their Railway Upgrade Plan, as well as Crossrail construction work.

There is no service between Brentwood and Shenfield until late May. This is while Network Rail carry out major work at Shenfield to upgrade tracks, signalling and overhead lines.

Emirates Air Line

The Emirates Air Line is closed for planned maintenance work. It will reopen on Monday.

Buses:

Bus users may be affected by the following this weekend. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed or stop short of their normal destination:

Tulse Hill – From 22:00 on Friday until 05:00 on Monday, and for the following two consecutive weekends, there will be lane closures and temporary traffic lights will be in place on Thurlow Park Road between St Faith’s Road and Birkbeck Hill. This is for Network Rail bridge work.

London Bridge – From 01:00 on Saturday until 05:00 on Monday, Tooley Street and Duke Street Hill will be closed in both directions between Borough High Street and Bermondsey Street. This is for road works. From 05:00 on Monday, the closure of Tooley Street will revert back to eastbound only.

Victoria – From 08:00 until 20:00 on Saturday, and between the same times on Sunday, Victoria Street will be closed in both directions between Bressenden Place and Palace Street. This is for pedestrian crossing works.

Central London – From 11:30 until 17:00 on Saturday, roads in the area will be busier than usual and may be subject to closures, including Regent Street, Oxford Street, Piccadilly Circus, Haymarket, Cockspur Street, Trafalgar Square, Whitehall and Parliament Square. This is for a march.

Central London – From 06:00 until 16:00 on Sunday, various roads will be closed for a parade.

Roads:
Road users may be affected by the following this weekend:

Tulse Hill – From 22:00 on Friday until 05:00 on Monday, and for the following two consecutive weekends, there will be lane closures and temporary traffic lights will be in place on A205 Thurlow Park Road (South Circular) between St Faith’s Road and Birkbeck Hill. This is for Network Rail bridge work.

London Bridge – From 01:00 on Saturday until 05:00 on Monday, Tooley Street and Duke Street Hill will be closed in both directions between Borough High Street and Bermondsey Street. This is for road works. From 05:00 on Monday, the closure of Tooley Street will revert back to eastbound only.

Victoria – From 08:00 until 20:00 on Saturday, and between the same times on Sunday, Victoria Street will be closed in both directions between Bressenden Place and Palace Street. This is for pedestrian crossing works.
