Here is our weekly travel update to help you get around London this weekend, 9-10 December, and also the following week. Most of the network will be open with services running as normal, but please check if any of the following affect you.

London Underground

Metropolitan line
On Sunday there will be no service between Aldgate and Wembley Park on the Metropolitan line before 09:30 and after 20:30. This is to allow us to replace track and signalling between Baker Street and Finchley Road.

London Overground
Tonight, Thursday, there will be no service between Hackney Downs and Enfield Town/Cheshunt (via Seven Sisters) after 22:30 due to Network Rail track work.

All weekend there will be no service between Willesden Junction and Camden Road due to Network Rail infrastructure work.

On Saturday trains will not run between the following stations due to Crossrail construction work:
• Highbury & Islington and Shadwell
• Surrey Quays and New Cross

On Sunday there will be no service between the following stations:
• Highbury & Islington and New Cross / New Cross Gate due to Crossrail construction work and Network Rail infrastructure work
• Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction due to Network Rail infrastructure work
• Sydenham and Crystal Palace due to Network Rail infrastructure work
• Liverpool Street and Enfield Town, Cheshunt (via Seven Sisters) and Chingford until 10:15 due to Network Rail track work

Until Sunday 14 January 2018, trains will not run between Gospel Oak and Barking. This is while Network Rail continue major work to enable new, longer trains to run from spring 2018.

TfL Rail
Trains will not run between Chadwell Heath and Shenfield. This is while Network Rail carry out track and station improvements as part of their Railway Upgrade Plan, as well as Crossrail construction work.

DLR
Until late December 2017, Custom House station will be closed and trains will not stop. This is due to Crossrail construction work.

Buses
Bus users may be affected by the following this weekend. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed, diverted or stop short of their normal destination:

South West London – From 10:00 until 19:00 today, Thursday, roads around Twickenham Stadium will be busier than usual including A316 Chertsey Road. There will also be closures and diversions on London Road, Whitton Road and Rugby Road. This is due to an event.

Central London – From 01:00 on Saturday until 05:00 on Monday 11 December, Tooley Street will be closed in both directions. Tooley Street is currently closed eastbound until next year. Bermondsey Street will also be closed every weekend until 15 January 2018. This is for Network Rail work.

Wembley – From 12:00 until 19:00 on Saturday, roads around the stadium will be busier than usual, including A406, Harrow Road and Wembley High Road. This is due to an event.

Central London – From 12:00 until 17:00 on Sunday, there will be road closures and traffic holds on the following roads: Parliament Square via Regent Street, Piccadilly Circus, Haymarket, Cockspur Street, Trafalgar Square, and Whitehall. This is due to a march.

Central London – From 07:30 on Monday 11 December until 17:00 on Sunday 29 April 2018, there will be a westbound closure of Queen Victoria Street at the junction of Mansion House Street. This is for Urban Realm Improvement works.

Roads
Road users may be affected by the following this weekend:

South West London – From 10:00 until 19:00 today, Thursday, roads around Twickenham Stadium will be busier than usual including A316 Chertsey Road. There will also be closures and diversions on London Road, Whitton Road and Rugby Road. This is due to an event.

Central London – From 01:00 on Saturday until 05:00 on Monday 11 December, Tooley Street will be closed in both directions. Tooley Street is currently closed eastbound until next year. Bermondsey Street will also be closed every weekend until 15 January 2018. This is for Network Rail work.

Wembley – From 12:00 until 19:00 on Saturday, roads around the stadium will be busier than usual, including A406, A1, A40, Harrow Road and Wembley High Road. This is due to an event.

Central London – From 12:00 until 17:00 on Sunday, there will be road closures and traffic holds on the following roads: Regent Street, Piccadilly Circus, Haymarket, Trafalgar Square and approaches, Whitehall, and Parliament Square and approaches. This is due to a march.

Santander Cycles
The following docking stations will be out of service this weekend:

* Rodney Street due to works
* Serpentine Car Park due to relocation

London Underground

Bakerloo line
This weekend there will be no service on the entire line, whilst we carry out essential work.

Due to the highly complex nature of this work, on Monday morning a very limited service will run between:
• Harrow & Wealdstone and Queen’s Park
• Elephant & Castle and Piccadilly Circus

Services between Queen’s Park and Piccadilly Circus will begin after 08:00 on Monday morning. We will try to start services before then if we can.

Jubilee line
There will be no Friday and Saturday Night Tube service between Waterloo and Wembley Park from approximately 00:45 to 04:40 Saturday and approximately 03:00 to 06:00 Sunday. This is to allow for the movement of engineering trains.

London Overground
All weekend there will be no service between Euston and Willesden Junction due to London Underground track and drainage work.

From 18:30 on Saturday 18 November until Sunday 14 January 2018, trains will not run between Gospel Oak and Barking. This is while Network Rail continue major work to enable new, longer trains to run from spring 2018.

On Sunday there will be no service between the following stations:
• Camden Road and Stratford due to bridge replacement work at Highbury Corner
• Highbury & Islington and Dalston Junction due to bridge replacement work at Highbury Corner

From Monday 20 until Thursday 23 November, there will be no service between Hackney Downs and Chingford from 22:30. This is due to Network Rail track work.

TfL Rail
All weekend, trains will not run between Liverpool Street and Romford. This is while Network Rail carry out track and station improvements as part of their Railway Upgrade Plan, as well as Crossrail construction work.

DLR
There will be no service between Stratford and Bow Church due to Crossrail work at Pudding Mill Lane.

Until late December 2017, Custom House station will be closed and trains will not stop. This is due to Crossrail construction work.

Buses
Bus users may be affected by the following this weekend. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed, diverted or stop short of their normal destination:

Central London – From 16:00 until 21:00 today, Thursday, Regent Street, between Oxford Street and Piccadilly Circus, and all its approaches will be closed. From 11:00 until 21:00, there will be a lane closure in each direction between Vigo Street and Beak Street. Traffic will be permitted to use the bus lane during this period.

Central London – From 17:00 on Friday until 22:00 on 01 January 2018, roads within Hyde Park including South Carriage Drive and North Carriage Drive will be closed. This is due to an event.

South West London – From 11:30 until 00:00 on Saturday, roads around Twickenham Stadium will be busier than usual including A316 Chertsey Road. There will also be closures and diversions on London Road, Whitton Road and Rugby Road. This is due to an event.

Central London – From 03:00 until 22:00 on Sunday, there will be various road closures on Regent Street between Oxford Street and Piccadilly Circus and New Burlington Street. This is for an event.

Central London – From 07:30 until 22:00 on Sunday, there will be road closures in Whitehall between Parliament Square and Trafalgar Square, and the St James’s Park Area. This is for an event.

London Travel Update for Weekend Underground, Rail, Bus and Road Users

This weekly London travel update will help you get around London this weekend, 18-19 March. With only one London Underground line affected by planned works, most of the network will be open with services running as normal. Please check if any of the following affect you:

London Underground:

Northern line

There will be no service between Archway and High Barnet/Mill Hill East from approximately 01:25 on Saturday and all day on Sunday. This is to allow for track improvement work at Highgate and High Barnet.

London Overground:

All weekend there will be no service between Romford and Upminster, due to Crossrail construction work and Network Rail infrastructure work.

On Sunday there will be no service between the following stations:
• Camden Road and Stratford due to bridge replacement work at Highbury Corner and Network Rail station work at Hackney Wick
• Wandsworth Road and Clapham Junction until 11:45, due to Network Rail track work

DLR:

There will be no service between Bow Church and Stratford all weekend. This is for Crossrail construction work at Pudding Mill Lane.

TfL Rail:

All weekend, trains will not run on the entire line. This is while Network Rail carry out track and station improvements as part of their Railway Upgrade Plan, as well as Crossrail construction work.

There is no service between Brentwood and Shenfield until late May. This is while Network Rail carry out major work at Shenfield to upgrade tracks, signalling and overhead lines.

Emirates Air Line

The Emirates Air Line is closed for planned maintenance work. It will reopen on Monday.

Buses:

Bus users may be affected by the following this weekend. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed or stop short of their normal destination:

Tulse Hill – From 22:00 on Friday until 05:00 on Monday, and for the following two consecutive weekends, there will be lane closures and temporary traffic lights will be in place on Thurlow Park Road between St Faith’s Road and Birkbeck Hill. This is for Network Rail bridge work.

London Bridge – From 01:00 on Saturday until 05:00 on Monday, Tooley Street and Duke Street Hill will be closed in both directions between Borough High Street and Bermondsey Street. This is for road works. From 05:00 on Monday, the closure of Tooley Street will revert back to eastbound only.

Victoria – From 08:00 until 20:00 on Saturday, and between the same times on Sunday, Victoria Street will be closed in both directions between Bressenden Place and Palace Street. This is for pedestrian crossing works.

Central London – From 11:30 until 17:00 on Saturday, roads in the area will be busier than usual and may be subject to closures, including Regent Street, Oxford Street, Piccadilly Circus, Haymarket, Cockspur Street, Trafalgar Square, Whitehall and Parliament Square. This is for a march.

Central London – From 06:00 until 16:00 on Sunday, various roads will be closed for a parade.

Roads:
Road users may be affected by the following this weekend:

Central London – From 11:30 until 17:00 on Saturday, roads in the area will be busier than usual and may be subject to closures, including Regent Street, Oxford Street, Piccadilly Circus, Haymarket, Cockspur Street, Trafalgar Square, Whitehall and Parliament Square. This is for a march.

Central London – From 06:00 until 16:00 on Sunday, various roads will be closed for a parade.

Santander Cycles

The following docking stations will be out of service this weekend:
• Grosvenor Crescent, for utility works
• Kingsway, for repair works
• South Quay West, Bourne Street, Cardinal Place and Foley Street, for building works
• Westfield Eastern Access Road, for site redevelopment
• Rodney Street, Tallis Street and West Smithfield Rotunda, for works
• Wellington Street, for site extension
