Comments Off on Transport for London – Weekend travel information

London Underground
Metropolitan line
On Sunday, trains will not run between Aldgate and Wembley Park before 09:30 and after 20:30. This is to allow us to replace track and signalling between Baker Street and Finchley Road.

London Overground
All weekend there will be no service between Hackney Downs and Chingford due to Network Rail track and infrastructure work.

Until Sunday 14 January 2018, trains will not run between Gospel Oak and Barking. This is while Network Rail continue major work to enable new, longer trains to run from spring 2018.

Buses
Bus users may be affected by the following this weekend. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed, diverted or stop short of their normal destination:

Trinity Square Junction with Byward Street – From Thursday 11 January until late summer 2018, one lane in the westbound direction will be closed on the approach to the junction. This is due to works to reinstate the left turn for traffic into Trinity Square.

North London – Until 04:00 on Monday 8 January, Holloway Road will be closed in both directions at the junction with Highbury Corner. Changes will also apply to the way traffic uses Highbury Corner roundabout for the full duration of Holloway Road closure. Vehicles will use the southern part of the roundabout as a two way road instead of moving around the roundabout. Temporary signals will be in operation.

Wembley – Roads around Wembley stadium will be busier than usual, including A406, A1, A40, Harrow Road and Wembley High Road between the following times due to events:
• From 17:00 until 23:59 today, Thursday 4 January
• From 12:00 until 19:00 on Sunday 7 January

Westminster – From 06:00 on Saturday 6 until 22:00 on Sunday 7 January, Victoria Street will be closed in both directions between Palace Street and Buckingham Gate. This is due to refurbishment work to City Hall.

Westminster – From 08:00 on Monday 8 until 18:00 on Sunday 14 January, a lane closure will be in place on Parliament Street between Great George Street (Parliament Square) and Whitehall. This is for utility work.

Marylebone Road – From Monday 8 January until late May 2018, one lane in each direction will be closed along Marylebone Road, between the junctions with Balcombe Street and Baker Street. This is due to the second phase of works to convert Baker Street and Gloucester Place to two way traffic.
