The Lord Mayor’s Show and Remembrance Sunday From 07:00 until 19:00 on Saturday, there will be extensive road closures in the City and central London for the Lord Mayor’s Show. Blackfriars and Waterloo bridges will be closed at various times. A number of Tube stations will be busier than usual, and busses in the City and Westminster will be diverted or stop short of their normal destination. On Sunday, some roads in Westminster will be closed to traffic from just after midnight until 17:30 for Remembrance Sunday. From midnight on Saturday until 18:00 on Sunday, buses will be diverted and will not serve the Whitehall and Trafalgar Square areas. Various parades are taking place across London. Embankment, St. James’s Park, Green Park and Victoria Tube stations are likely to be busier than usual. London Underground Piccadilly line Trains will not run between South Harrow and Uxbridge. This is while we renew a set of points at Rayners Lane. Metropolitan line There will be no service between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Uxbridge. This is to allow us to renew a set of points at Rayners Lane. London Overground Until 22 October, there will be no service between Gospel Oak and Barking. This is while Network Rail continue major works to enable new, longer trains to run from spring 2018. TfL Rail On Saturday trains will not run between Liverpool Street and Stratford. This is while Network Rail carry out track and station improvements as part of their Railway Upgrade Plan, as well as Crossrail construction work.
