From tomorrow, Friday, until Sunday 13 August, the IAAF World Championships will be taking place in Stratford and central London. Services to and from Stratford and key interchange stations will be busier than usual before and after the events. On Sundays 6 and 13 August, events will be taking place on closed roads in central London. There will be delays to road journeys and road and bridge closures will be in place. Special note: Waterloo station improvement work. From this Saturday 5 to Monday 28 August, some Tube, rail and bus services in southwest London will be much busier than usual due to Network Rail’s improvement works at Waterloo station. London Underground Central line Night Tube services will not stop at Bank on Saturday night/Sunday morning. This is while we carry out electrical works at the station.
