Mission
To give South Africans in London and the South West of England a rugby club to call their own by developing a respected and fiercely competitive team with a culture of success and sportsmanship.
Company Overview
Since its birth in 2005, London South Africa Rugby Football Club (RFC) has maintained its impressive start as one of the most successful young rugby clubs in England. The triumphs of the club over its first four seasons propelled the Warriors XV into London South West Division 2 after three back to back promotions. But after a disappointing 2009 season, where LSA where hampered by injuries and loss of key personal, they were relegated to London South West Division 3. Keeping the Warriors sharp in the Shield XV, making certain that competition for places is at a premium throughout the season. The club consists of players who have all played at all levels, including representation in provincial and national sides. The club boasts two class sides with good, hard and skillful rugby players. Although our roots are based in the local South African community, we have had the pleasure of witnessing a healthy mix of Welsh, English, New Zealand and Australian rugby talent pull on the green jersey over the years.
The main goal for the 2010 season is promotion back into London SW2, and for this to happen we need your support! We had some great support last season and hope to see you all down there again this year! If you are looking to play for LSA, please come join us for Training on Mondays and Wednesdays at 7 in Wimbledon Park, just outside the athletics stadium (SW19 7HX). It is 5 minutes from both Wimbledon park and Southfields tube stations.
We look forward to seeing you this coming season!
