Here is our weekly travel update to help you get around London this weekend, 17-18 February, and also the following week.

Most of the network will be open with services running as normal, but please check if any of the following affect you.

London Underground
Due to line modernisation work this weekend, there will be no service on:

Circle line
Between Baker Street and Hammersmith/High Street Kensington via Bayswater.

District line
All weekend between Edgware Road and High Street Kensington and also before 09:00 and after 21:00 between Earl’s Court and Kensington (Olympia).

Hammersmith & City line
Between Baker Street and Hammersmith.

London Overground
All weekend, there will be no service between Romford and Upminster, due to Crossrail construction work.

TfL Rail
All weekend there will be no service between Stratford and Shenfield, due to overhead line and track renewal work.

Buses
Bus users may be affected by the following this weekend. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed, diverted or stop short of their normal destination:

Twickenham – From 10:00 until 14:00 on Friday 16 February, roads in the area will be busier than usual, including A316 Chertsey Road, all roads leading to Twickenham station, and around the stadium. This is for the England Rugby team open training session.

Kensington – Due to the BAFTAs, there will be various road restrictions and closures in place:
• From 07:00 on Thursday 15 until 18:00 on Monday 19 February, Prince Consort Road will be closed
• Between 12:00 and 23:00 on Sunday 18 February, Kensington Gore (eastern side) will be closed
• From 12:00 on Saturday 17 until 06:00 on Monday 19 February, Kensington Gore (western side) will be closed
• There will also be local restrictions in place on Jays Mews and Bremner Road

Parliament Square – From 12:00 until 17:00 on Sunday 18 February, there may be delays along Langham Place, Regent Street, Coventry Street, Haymarket, Pall Mall, Cockspur Street and Whitehall. This is due to a march.

Blackfriars Road – From 06:00 on Saturday 17 February until 22:00 on 18 February there will be temporary four-way traffic signals on Blackfriars Road, operating in all directions at the junction of Stamford Street. This is for a crane operation.

Chinese New Year – From 06:00 until 20:00 on Sunday 18 February there will be extensive road closures, implemented in stages to facilitate the event:
• From 06:00, Dean Street and Duncannon Street will be closed in both directions
• From 07:00, Pall Mall East will be closed (including Whitcomb Street, Suffolk Street and Suffolk Place); and the Charing Cross slip road
• From 08:00, Shaftesbury Avenue will be closed in both directions between Piccadilly Circus and Charing Cross Road; Shaftesbury Avenue westbound from St Giles High Street to Charing Cross Road; Charing Cross Road in both directions between Denmark Street and St Martin’s Place; Piccadilly eastbound from Hyde Park Corner (including the eastbound Piccadilly Underpass); High Holborn west of Kingsway; and all roads within the Chinatown area
• All roads will reopen by 20:00. Cockspur Street eastbound bus only section will be suspended to allow general traffic use

Hammersmith Bridge – To facilitate bridge survey works there will be daily closures of Hammersmith Bridge between 08:00 and 18:00 on the following dates:
• Until Friday 16 February the northbound carriageway will be closed
• From 08:00 on Saturday 17 until 18:00 on Sunday 18 February the bridge will be closed in both directions

Roads
Road users may be affected by the following this weekend:
